$300 per session, with limited sliding-scale availability.
Insurance
Private pay / out-of-network. A superbill is available to help with reimbursement.

During a first session, I'm interested in a basic question: why now? I want to understand who you are, your history, and any major events or problems as you see them. You can also ask any initial questions you have about the process. I try to give a basic sense of the way forward by the session's end.

Many people meet weekly — this is the minimum for psychotherapy to gain traction. Some choose to go more in depth by adding sessions during the week. This is something we can discuss.

One of the most common experiences I see is people who think they have nothing to talk about at the start of a session, realizing they had many things to talk about after all. Therapy works by taking a chance to not prepare according to how you consciously want to present yourself.

People are in treatment for different amounts of time. Some want to address an urgent symptom; others find the process so enlivening that they continue, going from surviving to thriving. This is something we can talk about when we meet.
